Conventional Bank

The head bank is where all activities of planning up to supervision are implemented. Every bank has one head office which can not operate like other office banks, but it monitors the implementation of the head office policies in its branches. The Islamic Bank numbers do not significantly increase where there are 2 numbers of office increase from 73 offices to be 75 offices in the period of 2013 to 2015.

Manufacturing Industry

Large and Medium Manufacturing Industry

The growth of large and medium manufacturing industry up to 4th quarter 2015 In Riau province increases by 4,92 percent (qtq) compared to the previous quarter. This growth is mostly influenced by the growth of food product manufacture which grows by 3,08 percent (qtq). Also, rubber and plastic product manufacture increases insignificantly by 0,34 percent (qtq).

Yearly, The growth of large and medium manufacturing industry up to quarter IV 2015 of Riau Province also increases significantly by 14,60 percent. This growth is sourced from the growth of food product manufacture which grows positively by 11,12 percent (yoy) compared to the same quarter of the previous year (4th quarter of 2014). The rubber and plastic product manufacture also contributes by 30,45 percent (yoy) of growth compared to the previous year.

Micro and Small Manufacturing Industry

The growth of micro and small manufacturing industry up to 4th quarter 2015 (qtq) contracts by 1,73 percent (qtq). Compared to the 3rd quarter, the 4th quarter does not significantly contracts like the previous quarter which contracts by 9,13 percent (qtq). The contraction of the micro and small manufacturing production is influenced by  some factors other than industries of food, beverage, textile, printing and reproduction of recording media, non-metal excavation products, motor vehicle, trailer and semi-trailer , and other transportations.

The yearly growth of micro and small manufacturing industry up to 4th quarter 2015 contracts by 4,61 percent (yoy) compared to the same quarter of previous year. The industry which contracts the most is other manufacturing industries (29,84 percent) followed by metal product, non-machine and the equipment industry (29,75 percent).

Trading

In 2014, the total trading value of Riau Province contracts by 2,82 percent compared to year 2013. This contraction is due to lowering of oil and gas trading value by US$816,69 million or 12,92 percent, though non-oil and gas trading value rises by 2,01 percent. Besides, in 2015, the trading value contracts by US$3.295,98 million or 17,37 percent compared to the same period of previous year due to the lowering of oil and gas trading value by US$1.701,27 million or 30,91 percent and the non-oil and gas’s by  US$1.564,62 million or 11,61 percent.       

The export value of Riau in year 2014 according to free on board price contracts by US$295,29 thousand or 1,68 percent compared to year 2013. This contraction is due to the lowering oil and gas export value by US$691,37 million or 11,73 percent, though the non-oil and gas export value rises by US$ 396,07 million or 3,4 percent. Besides, in 2015, the export value contracts by US$ 2.920,12 million or 16,92 percent compared to the same period of previous year due to the lowering of oil and gas export value by  US$1.673,50 million or 32,16 percent and non-oil and gas’s by  US$1.216,58 million or  10,09 percent.

The import value of Riau in 2014 according to free on board price contracts by  US$255,76 million or 12,97 percent compared to year 2013. This contraction is due to the lowering of oil and gas export value by US$125,31 million or 29,52 percent and non-oil and gas import value by US$ 130,44 million or 8,43 percent. Besides, in 2015, the import value contracts by US$375,77 million or 21,89 percent compared to the same period of the previous year due to the lowering of oil and gas import value by  US$ 27,73 million or  9,27 percent and non-oil and gas’s by US$348,04 million or 24,55 percent.

Trading balance or export-import value is the difference between export and import value of a country in a certain period, measured by using the applicable currency. The positive balance that there is trading surplus if the export value is higher than import value, and vise versa. The trading value of Riau Province tends to be negative in which the export value is higher than import value or there is trading surplus. The trading surplus in year 2014 contracts by US$39,53 million or 0,25 percent compared to year 2013. This contraction is due to the lowering of oil and gas trading surplus by US$566,05 million or 10,35 percent, though the trading surplus of non-oil and gas rises by  US$526,52 million or 5,21 percent. Besides, in year 2015, the trading surplus of Riau Province also contracts by  US$2.544,35  million or 16,37 percent compared to the same period of the previous year due to the lowering of  oil and gas trading surplus by US$1.645,81 million or 33,55 percent and non-oil and gas by  US$868,55 million or 8,16 percent. 

Cooperative

Cooperative is a business organization owned and operated by the individuals for common interest. The cooperative is operated based on the movement principles   of public economy in accordance with principles of kinship. In accordance with the acts No. 25 year 1992 article 4, the cooperative’s functions and roles are to develop economic potential and capabilities of the members and society, to afford the high quality of human life, to strengthen the public economy, to develop the national economy, as well as to develop the organizing creativity and spirit for the national students.

By June 2015, the number of primary cooperatives increase to 5.271 unit, active cooperatives increase to 3.099 units and Rural Cooperative Units increase to 404 units. Yet, this increase is not proportional to the increase of the member numbers. The number of members decreases by 3.294 people or decreases from 545.025 people in 2014 to 541.731 people.
