In 2015, the total of Riau rice production reaches 393.917 tons of dried unhulled rice. In calculation, it increases by 2,2 percent compared to the production of year 2014. This increase is contributed by the increase of harvesting areas by 107.546 hectares which increases by 1.509 hectares (1,42%) compared to the previous year. Besides, the rice productivity also increases by 0,26 quintal/hectare or approximately 0,71 %.

            In other side, the maize production also increase by 20.870 tons of dry seeds; this production increases approximately 77,5 percent or 2.219 tons of dry seeds. This increase is contributed by enlargement of the production areas by 368 hectares (3,1%) compared to the area in 2014 by 12.057 hectares. The productivity in 2015 also increases by 1,09 quintal/hectare or a approximately 4,59%.

            Soybean production in 2015 also decreases by 187 tons of dry seeds (8,02%) compared to its production in 2014. This decrease is contributed by harvesting areas by 1.516 hectares which decreases approximately 514 hectares (25,32%). In contrast, the productivity increases by 2,66 quintal/hectare or 23,15% compared to the previous year.
