TANJUNG PINANG: A contingent of Riau succeeded to achieve a medal while in the Regional Sports Week (Porwil), XIX, in Bangka Belitung Province. In the second day of the match, Thursday (12/11/2015), Riau succeeded to collect 6 gold medals, 5 silver.
11 Medals achieve from two sports that already has been played today, namely, athletics and chess. Athletics offered two gold medals and four silver. This gold medal was offered by Cristian L Tobing from racewalking and Denny Putra Yohannes at Hammer Throw sport.
While chess appeared outside of the allegations. Not including the flagship sport, chess managed to offer 4 gold medals. The gold medal is dedicated group number 1 on behalf of the Board, Asrul Hidayat, Board 3 on behalf of Ahmad Bahtiar, Board 4 Jenroy and silver gained a number of individual Rewards on behalf of Hadian Anwar.
Chairman of KONI Riau Emrizal Pakis said, happy Riau achievement in this early Porwil. He expects positive results and chess athletic can be followed other sports.
"Alhamdulillah this second day we've managed to collect 6 gold medals and five silver. This puts us in the peak of temporary Klasmen of Porwil. Hopefully, other sports also topped the positive results in the match tomorrow," he said. (rgi/yan)
