Department Of Tourism Explore Potential Waterfall Of Batang Kapas

PEKANBARU - Riau has a diverse tourism potential that hasn't been fullest explore. To that end, Department of Tourism exploring some of the potential tourist destinations, one of which is a waterfall situated in Batang Kapas, the highlands of Bukit Barisan.

In the area of the village of Lubuk Bigau kenegrian Pangkalan Kapas Subdistrict of Kampar Kiri Hulu, Regency of Kampar of Riau have natural charm. The waterfall is expected to have a height of 150 metres with a very beautiful natural panorama to be enjoyed.

For tourists who want to enjoy a natural frame, Batang Kapas waterfall is a great place to visit. Because of the location of the waterfall is still surrounded by a virgin forest and still have a great variety of Flora Fauna that can be found.

Head of Department (Kadis) of Tourism Riau Fahmizal Usman, along with the staff get the opportunity to visit the waterfalls of Batang Kapas with its natural charm. He thought the waterfall is amazing, the eyes of the visitors who come will be spoiled a very beautiful natural panorama.

In addition, large tracts of trees and natural stone towering stretches along with the waterfall.

"Batang Kapas waterfall is a gift given by Allah SWT the creator of the universe. Riau society should be grateful and proud for having given Batang Kapas waterfall. For travellers who have the adventurous spirit of Batang Kapas waterfall is a suitable place to visit," said Fahmizal.

To visit the waterfalls of Batang Kapas by car from Pekanbaru can be through the village of Lipat Kain with travel time 2 hours drive or 71 km (Asphalt). Next, the journey continues towards the village of Lubuk Bigau.

Kadis of Tourism of Riau Fahmizal Usman said, after visiting the waterfall of Lubuk Bigau himself will seek to coordinate with related Department in Provincial Government (Pemprov). This is done so that the condition of the road leading to the village of Lubuk Bigau can be upgraded, he thinks it is very important that tourists who want to visit the waterfalls can reach the time more quickly.

"The accessibility should be increased, both roads Regency, Province and National, as well as the accessibility of the village of Lubuk Bigau to the bottom of the waterfall of Batang Kapas which is still forest area. So the concept of the development of ecotourism is best suited to do.
