PEKANBARU - Riau Provincial Government committed to doing recovery of peat area. This was done because the area of peat in Riau is already much damaged due to activities that are not environmentally friendly.
"The area of peat was indeed needed to get attention. One of the main factors that cause that is the land and forest fires that have already occurred over the past 18 years," said Implementing Daily (Plh) Sekdaprov of Riau, Kasiaruddin.
He added, in answering the question it focus anticipating the occurrence of Land and Forest Fires (Karlahut) in Riau. "When the season of Karlahut in Riau was not only the dry season or rain season but smoke season," he said.
These points of concern, because of the damage to the area of peat gives the negative effects for the environment. Such a cause a lot of harm to public health as well as influential to the sector of economic growth of Riau, Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Disaster Relief Agency of Riau Edward Sanger conveys it indeed gives serious attention. As for 2017 the Riau Provincial Government providing this Fund amounting to Rp. 12 billion for prevention Karlahut of Budget Revenue and Expenditure Area.
According to him, from budget worth Rp. 12 billion, Rp. 10 billion of which are used for the procurement of a fire extinguisher, while the remaining Rp. 2 billion allocated for prevention of Karlahut for training and patrol. (MC Riau/mz)
